Adjacent to the Southern end of the beach, and sandwiched between it and the fishing port, is the town center offering a superb range of cuisine around the square and on narrow streets full of character and charm. Located in the Pyrenees-Atlantic the region offers everything for the golfing, sailing, surfing, mountain-biking, hill-walking, sight seeing, photography, art and fishing enthusiast. St. Jean de Luz is just 15km from the Spanish border and is therefore ideally situated for day trips to places such as St. Sebastian and Pamplona as well as the Basque country and the various attractions of the Pyrenees.
